Thank you to Tiera from the Mohave County Department of Public Health for the fun and active training on the CATCH program. The ideas were fun and simple for all of the staff. Camp and Fort thank you for the ideas and time.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of long-time principal Craig Vallon.
Mr. Vallon joined Mohave Valley School District in 1986, assuming the principalship of Mohave Valley Jr. High after teaching science in the Bullhead City Elementary District for many years. He was an instrumental part of the planning process for the “new” junior high built on Boundary Cone, and in 1998 he was promoted to the district’s Director of Administration, overseeing not only the punchlist on both Mohave Valley Jr. High and Camp Mohave Elementary, but coordinated all maintenance and transportation services before his retirement in 2000.
During his time with the district, Mr. Vallon would often speak to classes throughout the district in his Mountain Man persona, speaking to students regarding early life in the west. Most notably, Mr. Vallon was known as the yo-yo king to his students, spurring a yo-yo craze amongst many classes of students that moved through Mohave Valley Jr. High.
Craig’s wife, Denise, was a long time science teacher at Mohave High, and his son, Chance, currently works for Mohave High School as a school counselor. Please join the Mohave Valley family in expressing our condolences to the Vallon family.

Thank you Walmart of Fort Mohave for the "Act of Kindness." The sandwiches and donuts were a welcome surprise for the entire staff at Camp Mohave.

Thank you to Mr. Vallon and Mr. Guerrero from Mohave High School for taking their time to visit the fifth graders at Camp Mohave. They brought Lunar and Meteorite samples collected by NASA to share with the kids. It was a wonderful experience that brought a little reality to space and the science lessons the students had only read about previously.
