MVJHS was advised earlier that a female student was approached at her morning bus stop by a male in a silver pickup with dents on the passenger side door. MCSO was called and are handling the particulars. This bus stop is along Calle del Media and MCSO will have a presence in the area as a precaution. This is an opportunity to speak to your children about Stranger Danger and keeping safe.
CMES wants to remind parents that the calendar in the student agenda is not correct. There is school tomorrow and Friday the 10th and 11th. The two professional development days where there will be no school are now on January 17th and 18th. Thank you.
Camp Mohave Elementary School would like to thank the Volunteers in Partnership and the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce for their generous donation to the school. At a presentation, last night, the Volunteers in Partnership, donated $1,000 to Camp Mohave. These funds are being earmarked to add additional after school tutoring. Thank you to the volunteers who raised the money and to the committee for selecting Camp Mohave to receive the check.

Congratulations to MVJH Honors Math Teacher Mrs. Sgroi for receiving the McKellips Award for $1000 at tonight’s MVESD Board Meeting! Mrs. Sgroi will use the money to provide new pom-poms and supplies for her Bulldog Cheerleading Team.

It's the last day of school before Christmas! Report cards will be coming home today with your kids- hopefully as an early Christmas present. Enjoy the break- we'll see everyone back on January 7th!
MVJHS is proud to present Mrs. Grizzle! Mrs. Grizzle had worked for the SPED department for 11 years prior to leaving to go work for a very popular local doctor. She is excited to be back with us using her Health Science degree as our Health Clerk and Attendance Specialist. She enjoys working with our students and sharing tips on staying healthy. Mrs. Grizzle states that being outside hiking, kayaking, camping and playing with her dogs is her “happy place”. We are thrilled she has made MVJHS her alternative happy place!
Please remember that FME is uniform dress tomorrow. We'd like everyone to be showing school pride for our end of quarter celebrations! :)
