School starts in-person instruction on Monday; however, MVESD will continue to provide free breakfast and lunch for ALL children who are 18 and under until the end of December!

Monday through Thursday both lunch and breakfast will be provided. On Fridays, we will follow the same schedule and will provide food for over the weekend (3-day pick-up)
Camp and Fort will provide for curbside pick-up from 9-10am, Monday-Friday.

As we approach our return to in person learning, please remember the following.
For students who are on campus, the following expectations will be in place.
*Masks—Masks will be worn when arriving on campus until classes start, in any classroom where social distance cannot be maintained, during any transitions (walking from one area to another within the school), and at dismissal.
*Hand Washing/Sanitizing– Students will be expected to sanitize their hands as they enter the campus. Additional washing/sanitizing will take place during transitions to and from the classroom. This includes to/from recess, lunch, restroom, office, and at end of day dismissal.
*Electronics-If possible, please bring your electronic device (Chromebook) that you have been using during the first quarter each day until further notice.
For students who are at home for their streaming days, you will be expected to do the following.
*Check-in at designated time set by classroom teacher for classroom meeting/attendance (between 7:30-8:00). Students should stay muted unless called on by the teacher.
*Watch the live stream or recording of the stream each day.
*Complete assignments posted in the classroom.
*Contact the office if having technology issues for check-in and assistance (if needed)
*E-mail teacher if having difficulties with work.
For parents, the school would appreciate your assistance and cooperation by following these guidelines.
*Do not plan to visit your child’s classroom during the day. Only essential visitors such as AC repair will be allowed on campus until further notice.
*Do not send classroom treats for parties or other events. Students are allowed to bring their own lunch and a small snack, but no items for sharing with anyone else.
*When dropping your child off in the morning, please drop them off by the front entrance near the parking lot. Please do not exit your vehicle.
If picking your child up at the end of the day, please do not exit your vehicle. Teachers will walk the students down the sidewalk adjacent to the bus lane and then into the parking lot. (see PP image on separate sheet)
*Keep your child home and contact the school should he/she be sick in any way.
Fridays:
*Students will check-in to their Google Classroom at the designated time for a class meeting and attendance time.
*Students will complete work assigned through Google Classroom.
*Teachers will be available for academic support via office hours.

During Fall Break, MVESD will provide breakfast and lunch service on 10/7 and 10/13. Each of these days we will be providing SIX days worth of breakfast and lunch, at no charge, for kids (0-18) within our community.

Our first quarter of instruction will end this Friday, October 2. Report Cards will be sent home to all students during the first week of our 2nd Quarter. If you’d like to see your child’s grades before Fall Break, they will be available on ParentVue. If you need assistance with setting this up, contact your child’s school before 3:30 PM this Friday.
MVJHS is very happy to welcome our students back on campus for Quarter 2! CMES would like to remind parents that first quarter report cards will be available for review on Friday. To review the report, you can log in to your ParentVue account and select the report card tab. If you do not have ParentVue, you can contact the office for a code by 3:00 PM Friday. If you are unable to check in and review on ParentVue, a hard copy will be given to your child when we return to school on October 19th.
