Mrs. Purcell

Camp Mohave, Fort Mojave, MVJH, and the rest of the Mohave Valley School District would like to say thank you to Mrs. Purcell for almost 25 years of dedication to the kids of the district. As a librarian in the district, she has worked with thousands of kids over the years, and she can honestly say she loves each one of them. Sadly, when this year ends, Mrs. Purcell is retiring. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her well no matter what adventure life holds for her.

Mrs. Purcell has impacted many students in our district. This is true because no matter the day or the time, she brought enthusiasm, a smile, and joy to the kids through her love of books and lessons that can be taught through the books. Rarely do we meet someone so perfectly suited to work with children and expand their horizons through literature. Luckily the Mohave Valley District was able to enjoy her gifts for so long.

Sadly, she was unable to say goodbye to the children she loves so much. So, we asked her to share one last story this morning on CMES's Facebook page. She chose a book to express her belief in the kids and their potential going forward. Take a moment to enjoy Mrs. Purcell reading "Oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss.
