COVID Tips to Avoid the Spread

Well, hasn't it been a crazy week?!? I hope you're enjoying your time off, and can put all this aside at least until we get closer to returning: In the meantime, the graphic attached to this article is still the best advice we have to keep you and your family healthy, even during spring break! And if you missed it, check out our latest district e-newsletter that is also published on our Facebook and Twitter pages with more information on COVID19.

As you know, the COVID19 issues and consequences have been ramping up this past week: I've had a conference call with the State Department of Public Health, a second with County Department of Public Health, a third with Governor Ducey, State Public Health Director Dr. Christ, and State School Superintendent Kathy Hoffman, and now Monday another with the County Health Department, for a total of four in the past six days.

At this point we do not anticipate extending our spring break beyond next Friday, but with things changing by the day, we don't want to put any definitive information out until the end of next week: There's no need to get folks excited today, only to have to change the message tomorrow (and maybe the next day too). Watch for a message to our school community on this site next Friday afternoon as to the district's plans for the following week (unless something arises sooner): We will also send out a Push Notification via the district's app and attempt to make robo-texts pointing parents to the information.

Please be assured that there are many considerations that need to be looked at before any decision can be made, and that the district will continue to work closely with our public health officials to make the best decisions possible for the health and safety of all our students, as well as our school community.
