By now you should have already received your Summer Learning book- geared at helping to prepare students for a smooth transition from their prior grade to their new grade. These books are geared much like our COVID Learning Packets, with examples and answer keys to help your child progress.
To help motivate your child to complete their summer learning, schools are gathering a variety of smaller prizes: For example, Fort Mojave students with completed books will be able to pick from Mr. Turco's prize box; Camp Mohave will have drawings for prizes from their student store.
To up our game, we have also had three Apple iPad tablets donated to be used as a drawing- one for each school. Students who successfully complete their summer books will turn those in when school resumes to be entered into the drawing. One iPad will be given away at each site, with all books being turned into their school they attend next fall. Students must be attending the school to win.
If you've not collected your summer booklets, there's still time. Books can be picked up at any school site through June 12th, and at the district office after that while supplies last. One book per student please.
