Cristy Luke joined the Camp Mohave staff this school year after spending three years as a teacher on the Fort Mojave campus. She is teaching 3rd grade for the Coyotes this year. Prior to joining the school district, Mrs. Luke lived in the Philippines where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in early childhood.
On a personal note, Mrs. Luke says that she really loves watching sports even though she does not know how to play any of them. She says growing up she focused on her studies and was a member of both the choir and band in college. She says that she loves spending time with her family and learning new things as a lifelong learner.
Cristy says her most rewarding time with the district comes in being a part of children's growth. This is not limited to academic growth, but it also includes behaviorally and socially. She says she feels that childhood is the most critical part in personal development and feels it is her calling to help the kids become successful. This is one reason her administrators refer to her as Ms. Organized. She is always detail oriented and loves the challenge of educating children.
