Free School Meals

Mohave Valley Schools have submitted an application to the state to run a Breakfast and Lunch Program during this time of school closures. In addition to the drive through meals at each elementary site, the district has also applied for a Mobile Meals program, where meals will be delivered to selected stops throughout the district on a designated schedule.

\r\n

Each elementary school site will be open for drive through meals from 8-10 am each morning, Monday through Friday, starting next week and continuing while schools are closed due to the Corona Virus. Children under the age of 18 are eligible to receive both a breakfast and lunch in a "grab-and-go" format. Children do not have to be enrolled in our school district, and, can in fact also pick up meals at most of Bullhead City's schools, plus River Valley High School. All drive through meals in our area will operate 8-10am.

\r\n

Mobile Meals will leave each Mohave Valley school site at 8am, and hand out meals from a school for 10 minutes at each stop. Once again, children do not have to be students of the district to participate in these mobile meals.

\r\n

It's important to note that wherever children participate in the meal program, the child themselves must be present- meaning meals are handed out to only the child(ren) present.

Schedules and Locations are as follows:

Note: Mohave Valley Jr. High will stop serving drive-through meals as of Monday, March 30th. The closest Mobile Meals stop to the Jr. High is off Boundary Cone at the entrance to Mesquite Creek, with serving times between 9:39-9:49 am.

NOTE: Effective Monday, March 30, a stop has been added for children living in Oatman: The stop will be located at the Oatman General Store, and will deliver meals between 10:15-10:25 am.

\r\n

Stop times for our Mobile Meals program will be strictly adhered to, with plans in place should times run long. Please be patient, particularly with the Mobile Meals, as this is a first for the Mohave Valley District, so we're not quite sure what to expect.
