Mrs. Celeste Llanes joined the Mohave Valley School District Family in August. At Camp Mohave, she serves as a classroom teacher in the self-contained room. As a teacher of some of our most challenging students, Mrs. Llanes brings patience and calm with her to the classroom each day. She says the most rewarding part of her job is seeing a student find success. It does not matter how small the step they take is, it's always exciting to see a child grow and watch their own confidence bloom as they move forward in their educational journey. She says this drives her to be the best version of herself that she can be.
On a personal note, Mrs. Llanes is originally from Manila, Philippines. While there, she received her teaching credentials through Philippine Normal University. This is also where she found her favorite hobby of watching Korean telenovelas. She says she can watch one over and over without ever getting tired of it. In addition to the telenovelas, she enjoys Korean food. When not watching the shows or enjoying a nice Korean dish, Celeste likes to spend time with her family exploring outdoors and building memories.
