Dear MVE Parents and Students,


We have fabulous things happening this year at Mohave Valley Elementary.  This school is very fortunate to welcome its new team members. Our new teaching staff include: Mrs. Davis-6th grade teacher, Mrs. Obus-1st grade teacher, Mrs. Dozier-Art Teacher.  Our students continue to look great in their school uniforms. Compliance at MVE has been excellent. Please make sure to send your students to school in khaki bottoms along with the uniform shirt.
No blue jeans will be permitted.
To create a safe learning environment for all, Mohave Valley Elementary continues to emphasize its school wide rules:
Always be safe.
Be responsible.
Care for other bees.
These three rules reflect all areas of the school: classroom, cafeteria, playground, hallways and the bus. Any time there is a concern with a student’s safety, questions are addressed using the rules. We are holding very high expectations at Mohave Valley Elementary that PEOPLE are safe, responsible and caring. MVE has also formed a character education committee. You will receive information about this program in the near future.
As we have said before, MVESD #16 has taken over the bus transportation department. Our “Top of the line” buses are provided to transport your children to and from school. We are going to hold students to the highest standard for their bus behavior. Please communicate with your children how important it is for them to act their best on the bus. It is only for their safety. We also want to keep these buses looking and feeling new for years to come.
I am so very confident that we have the best teaching staff to educate each and every child at this school. For us to teach and reach each child, excellent attendance is required. Make every attempt to plan family trips during our convenient fall, winter and summer breaks. Also, try to make all medical appointments at the end of the day if at all possible. We are happy to announce that the school will continue the perfect attendance t-shirt program this year.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm. You are welcome on campus at anytime after you receive a visitor’s pass from the front office. For the safety of your child, all parent pickups will take place in the gymnasium (cafeteria for the next couple weeks due to the gym floor being re-tiled) at the end of the day. We at Mohave Valley Elementary look forward to a positive working relationship between child, parent and the school.
