Each year the Arizona Department of Education requires that districts create an Integrated Action Plan. Based on the state's research, there are six indicators of effective districts: Effective Leadership, Effective Teachers and Instruction, Effective Organization of Time, Effective Curriculum, Conditions, Climate, and Culture, and Family and Community Engagement. The district then creates a type of strategic action plan as to how the six indicators will play out in our district. At the same time, the district is required to show how we intend to use federal program dollars to support our plans.
The report is broken into four headings: Principles, Strategies, Action Plans, and Tasks. You can find a description of how those four headings interact HERE.
Over the next month, each of the three schools will be meeting with their staff, and then parent and community groups to share the plan and gather comments and input. The culminating product will be shared at the September Governing Board meeting. Check the district calendar for the time and location of parent and community meetings for each school site.
